PARTICIPATION RULES

SCHOOL & PRIZE CATEGORIES:

- Large Schools ($4,000 Cash Prize): George Washington High School, John F. Kennedy High School, Okkodo High School, Southern High School, Simon Sanchez High School, Tiyan High School,

- Small Schools ($2,000 Cash Prize): Academy of Our Lady of Guam, Business & Technology Academy Charter School, Career Tech High, Father Duenas Memorial School, Guahan Academy Charter School, Guam Adventist Academy, Guam High School, Harvest Christian Academy, JP Torres Success Academy, Notre Dame High School, St. John's School, St. Paul Christian School

- Plus additional prizes awarded across special competition categories

ELIGIBILITY

- The Lip Dub Challenge 2026 is open to CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS.
- All participants must adhere to their respective schools’ code of conduct, local laws, and regulations.​

THEME

- There is no specified theme for the Lip Dub. Creativity and originality are highly encouraged

​

PROPS

- Headliner & Encore props must be picked up at the Thrive Media office located in Tamuning. Officia pickup timeline will be released soon.

- Headliner Sponsor props must appear in your video at least 10 times.*

- Encore Sponsor, props from must appear in your video at least 5 times.*

- All other provided props can appear in your video at your own discretion*

- All homemade props are welcome.

*Sponsorship props will be supplied to each school.

SONG SELECTION

- Participants may choose any song for their lip dub, but explicit and offensive content is strictly prohibited.

- Songs may be a mashup of different songs.

VIDEO GUIDELINES

- All videos must be shot in ONE TAKE.
- Videos must be shot in
HORIZONTAL format.
- We recommend filming in 1080p/4k quality.
- The minimum duration of the video is 1 minute 30 seconds, the maximum duration of the video is 5 minutes.

- Editing: Visual Editing such as video cuts, adding text graphics, adding images, video transitions, etc is PROHIBITED.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS/DEADLINE

- Videos are due by Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:59pm.
- All entries must be submitted to thrivemediaguam@gmail.com with the subject line “Lip Dub Challenge 2026 Entry” by the deadline, via a shareable Google Drive or Dropbox link.

RULES

- All content must be appropriate for all ages. 

- No sexual, explicit, or offensive content.

a. Filming

  • Participants must film their videos ON SCHOOL CAMPUS.

  • Use of professional cameras are allowed, granted that a SENIOR is still filming. 

  • Teachers and aides are NOT ALLOWED to be the videographer. Lip Dub is student-led.

b. Video Submission

  • Once submitted, an act cannot be changed.

  • Videos are due on or before Friday, January 30, 2026, by 11:59pm

c. Disqualification

  • Explicit or offensive song selections will be disqualified.

  • Any video content in violation of the rules will be disqualified. 

  • Any video submitted AFTER the deadline will be disqualified. 

  • Videos that have any cuts or edits (other than song overlay) will be disqualified.

d. Publicity

  • By participating, participants allow the use of their lip dub videos for promotional purposes.

 

VOTING RULES

- Website Voting period will last for 14 days, between February 04 - 17, 2026.

- Voting Criteria: 50% Website Voting, 30% Judges Vote 20% Instagram and Facebook

- Usage of BOTS (for website voting AND social media engagement e.g. likes) is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and can be grounds for disqualification. (please don't do it) Share with your family and friends instead!
